In-form Los Angeles FC can make it four wins in a row and maintain the pressure at the top of the MLS Western Conference, if they can defeat city rivals LA Galaxy on Saturday night. After a dismal campaign at the World Club Cup, LA have been in excellent form since returning to MLS action. Last week's 0-1 win in Minnesota saw them keep their third consecutive clean sheet. Another win on Saturday would take them to within four points of the league leaders with two games in hand.
It has been a season to forget for the Galaxy. Despite winning two of their last three games, they are still four points adrift at the bottom of the Western Conference standings and have virtually no chance of making the playoffs. That being said, they will still be desperate to win on Saturday night, to not only claim LA bragging rights, but also put a big dent in their rivals' hopes of finishing top of the league.
