The Red Sox will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard today when they face the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers in Game Two of a three-game weekend series at Fenway Park in Boston. Fans can follow the action on Fox once the game gets underway at 7:15 p.m. EST.
LA won Game One of the series Friday night, 5-2. It was their first road game since the All-Star Break and their third consecutive road win. The game was Boston’s first at home since the Break. While they ended the road trip with a win vs. Philadelphia, they lost four of six games on the road to start the second half. This one could easily turn into a pitchers' duel. Boston is set to start Garrett Crochet. The leftie is 11-4 in 21 starts with a 2.19 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and .216 OBA. However, he is 2-3 in nine home starts with a 2.35 ERA and .211 OBA. LA is going with Clayton Kershaw. He has gone 4-1 in 11 starts since returning from injury with a 3.27 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and .255 OBA. Kershaw has done his best work on the road. In five road starts, he has gone 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA and .233 OBA.
