The Los Angeles Lakers and the LA Clippers will take their intra-city rivalry to the Summer League stage on Monday at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Lakers have split their first two Summer League games, suffering a two-point heartbreaker against the Cooper Flagg-led Dallas Mavericks, 85-87, before bouncing back with a surgical win over the New Orleans Pelicans, 94-81. Bronny James, playing in his second Summer League stint with the Lakers, recorded 8 points on 2 for 8 shooting vs. the Mavericks and 14 points in 5-for-11 shooting vs. the Pelicans. The undrafted player out of Syracuse, Cole Swider, has positioned himself as a possible two-way contract candidate after putting up impressive numbers in the past two games. Swider recorded 22 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to the Mavs and 21 points and 10 rebounds versus the Pelicans.

The Clippers will try to preserve their immaculate record when they lock horns with the Lakers on Monday. The Clippers registered their first win in the Summer League after holding on to a 95-92 win over the Houston Rockets. Jordan Miller, the 48th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, racked up 23 points and 11 rebounds in 34 minutes of play, while last year’s 46th overall pick Cam Christie recorded 21 points for the Clippers, who still hacked out a win despite shooting only 41 percent from the field.
