Los Angeles Chargers vs Las Vegas Raiders Prediction & Picks - NFL

The Los Angeles Chargers will try to improve to 2-0 this week when they travel to Las Vegas to face their AFC West division rival, the Raiders, at Allegiant Stadium. Both teams won in Week 1, with the Chargers downing the Chiefs, 27-21, and the Raiders beating the Patriots on the road, 20-13.

Justin Herbert has had a solid track record against the Raiders. In nine games vs. the Raiders, he is 6-3 with victories in the last three times he faced the Raiders.  He’s completed 64.4% of his passes against them for 2,516 yards (279.6 per/game; 300+ in five) with 18 touchdowns and just two interceptions. The Raiders have lost four of the last six vs. the Chargers, but there is a renewed sense of optimism for the Black and Silver. Expectations are high with Pete Carroll in town, new quarterback Geno Smith, and rookie running back Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty did not have a good debut last week with just 38 yards and a touchdown on 198 carries. Geno’s debut went a bit better (24-34 for 362 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He had one start vs. the Chargers when he was with Seattle (10/23/2022). He went 20-27 for 210 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception; Seattle won 37-23.
