Jessica Pegula eyes a seat in the quarterfinal of the 2025 French Open against Frenchwoman Lois Boisson on Monday at Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Pegula advanced to the fourth round of the 2025 French Open after squeaking past Marketa Vondrousova 3-6 6-4 6-2. Powered by 30 points off her first serves and 6 aces, Pegula rallied from a set down to beat the former Wimbledon Open champion. The American also broke the Czech 6 times on 46 return points.
Boisson is the last Frenchwoman standing at the French Open after she eliminated her compatriot Elsa Jacquemot in three sets 6-3 0-6 7-5. Ranked 361st in the world, Boisson had also posted upsets over Elisse Mertens 6-4 4-6 6-3 and Anhelina Kalinina 6-1 6-2 before gutting out that win over Jacquemot.
