Liverpool welcome Nottingham Forest to Anfield for their first home match of the 26/27 English Premier League season. The Reds began their campaign with a last-gasp 2-2 draw away at Newcastle United and will be hopeful of getting their first win against a side who has lost their first two games. Forest were beaten at home 1-0 on the opening weekend by Leeds United, who then inflicted a 2-0 defeat on the The Tricky Trees in the Carabao Cup three days later. Not the best start for new manager Oliver Glasner. Away at Liverpool won't make Glasner's start any easier either.
Both sides have faced major changes over the summer. Both have new managers at the helm, Andoni Iraola replaced Arne Slot as Liverpool manager, and both will be looking for their first competitive wins as quickly as possible. For us, it's Iraola who will win that race. Despite only achieving a draw on opening day, Liverpool played some good stuff against Newcastle. For Forest, they're really lacking a cutting edge and we can't see them taking any points back to the City Ground.
Forest do have a good record at Anfield, in fact they've won on their last two visits to the iconic stadium. Three in a row is a big ask, though. For our prediction, we think it will be Liverpool who prove victorious.

Our Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
We don't think they'll be much in it, but we're predicting a home victory. Potentially a 1-0 or 2-0 home win, but Liverpool should take all three points. While there are obvious defensive frailties in the Reds' backline, something Newcastle took advantage of in their opener, Forest lacked a distinctive cutting edge. At the other end of the field, Andoni Iraola's men should have too much for this Forest side to contend with.
Our prediction for Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest is: Liverpool to Win
