Liverpool and Newcastle meet at Anfield on Saturday night, with both sides looking to boost their hopes of reaching next season's Champions League. 

The Reds' 13-game unbeaten run came to a juddering halt last weekend, as they suffered an agonizing last minute 3-2 loss at Bournemouth. However, Arne Slot's men bounced back in superb fashion by thrashing Qarabag 6-0 in the Champions League, a result that secured them a top eight finish and a place in the last 16 of the competition. 

Newcastle also fell to a disappointing defeat last weekend, losing 0-2 at home to Aston Villa. That loss dropped the Magpies down to ninth in the Premier League standings, but they are still only four points outside of the top five, so a strong second half of the campaign would give them an excellent chance of returning to the Champions League next season.

This should be a cracking contest between two sides full of exciting attacking players. 

Liverpool are clear favorites, but their recent Premier League form has been very patchy, so we don't think there is much value in backing them at just 1.75.

Similarly, Newcastle's away form has been mediocre at best this season, which makes them equally difficult to back, even at much longer odds.
