For the second time, and for the first time in several seasons, Leylah Annie Fernandez and Jelena Ostapenko will do business on Thursday, when the pair will meet at the WTA event in Wuhan. They'll be fighting for a place in quarter finals. The Canadian arrives at this match having defeated a lower-ranked player with ease, while the Latvian battled hard to get the better of world number four Jessica Pegula. 

Looking at the early lines, we can see that Leylah Annie Fernandez is fancied to come out on top a little more than Jelena Ostapenko is, but that doesn't seem quite right. Not only did the Latvian emerge victorious when the pair last met, but she comes here off the back of a confidence-boosting win against the world number four. With that effort under her belt, she likely has a slightly greater chance of success than the early market predicts.
