Alexandra Eala of the Philippines returns to action on Tuesday, taking on Katarzyna Kawa of Poland in the first round of the 2025 Suzhou WTA 125.
Fresh off a semifinal appearance at the Jingshan WTA 125, Eala is a heavy favorite at -525 but offers a ton of value on the spread line where you can win by as much as $250 for every $100 bet.

Eala is coming off a semifinal run at the Jingshan Open, where she was the No.1 seed and the only player inside the WTA top-100. Eala rattled off three consecutive three-set victories over Aliona Felie of Portugal 6-3 7-5, Mei Yamaguchi of Japan 6-0 6-3 and Jia-Jing Lu of China 6-4 6-1 before she ran out of steam against Lulu Sun of New Zealand in the semifinals 3-6 6-4 6-2 in the semifinals. Despite falling short of another WTA 125 title, Eala has maintained her ranking to world’s No.58.
Kawa will try to rebuild her confidence at the Suzhou WTA 125 after failing to reach the main draw of the 2025 China Open. Kawa, 1-4 in her last five matches, picked up a win over Storm Hunter 7-6(5) 7-6(0) in the first qualification match before losing to Dalma Galfi of Hungary 5-7, 2-6 in the final qualifier. Kawa is 4-7 on the hard court in 2025.
