Houston vs KU Prediction & Picks - NCAA Men

In a game that many believed would be deicing the winner of the Big 12 this season, the #4 Houston Cougars (25-4) will host the Kansas Jayhawks (19-10). However, Kansas has played themselves out of the Big 12 title contention having gone just 10-8 in conference play. The Cougars have already clinched the title as they lead Arizona by 4 games with just 2 to play. The Cougars are on an 8-game winning streak that include wins over #13 Arizona on the road, #8 Iowa State, and a revenge win over #10 Texas Tech on the road. Houston is proving that they can win big games on the road late in the season which should bode well for them come tourney time. On the flip side, the Kansas Jayhawks have been a tremendous letdown all year. They have lost 3 of their last 5 games with 2 of those losses coming against unranked teams. After their latest loss, coach Bill Self released a statement about their recently play that pretty much fell flat with the public. Kansas will get no sympathy from college basketball fans and certainly not from the Jayhawk faithful. The roster is strong on paper but something continues to get lost in translation when they get on the floor.
