The Kansas City Royals will kick off a three-game weekend series against the Detroit Tigers today. I’m a little concerned that the Royals hitters who have faced Mize have hit .393 against him (35-89, three home runs); Bergert has not faced the Tigers. Otherwise, I see two teams with solid pitchers on the mound that are solid and should hold their own. Neither team has been hitting poorly of late. But they haven’t been killing the ball either. Both teams have been averaging right around five runs per game, but I don’t think either will score more than four.
