The Cleveland Browns (3-10 SU, 4-9 ATS) face the Kansas City Chiefs (12-1 SU, 5-8 ATS) in a potential trap game for the visiting team. The Chiefs have really not looked like themselves in weeks, and there are real concerns as to whether they can hold on in the playoffs. Kansas City looks highly likely to win the AFC’s top seed, which would be critical to letting the Chiefs heal up for a run at a third straight title.
Cleveland is an odd team because it’s out of the running, but it’s still playing hard as long as it’s playing at home. The Browns have covered just twice in six weeks, and both of those were home games. While the Browns’ 2-4 SU record at home isn’t great, it’s much better than the 1-6 they’ve posted away from Cleveland.

Patrick Mahomes and friends keep doing just enough to survive week after week. The Chiefs are clearly not themselves, as their past four wins have been decided by a combined nine points. At some point, you lose the ability to pull games out of the fire, and Kansas City is fortunate to have not lost that ability just yet.
But the fact remains that the Chiefs let teams hang around for too long before delivering the final crushing blow. It keeps working out for them, but it seems only a matter of time before it comes back to bite them. Cleveland, playing with nothing to lose and having a supportive crowd in its efforts, could be in position to exploit that. Our prediction for Kansas City vs. Cleveland is Browns +4.
