Alex de Minaur of Australia will go up against Kamil Majchrzak of Poland in the third round of the 2025 Shanghai Masters on Monday.

De Minaur opened the betting lines as a -750 favorite against Majchrzak, who presents a certain level of danger at +500 after posting impressive wins in the previous rounds.

De Minaur moved on to the round of 32 in Shanghai following a 6-4, 6-2 win over Camillo Ugo Carabelli of Argentina. The Australian held all of his service games and broke Carabelli three times to secure an easy win. With the win, DeMinaur will have a chance to make another deep run at an ATP 1000 event. This year, De Minaur has already had two prolific runs in this type of tournament, reaching the quarterfinal of the Canadian Open and the semifinal of the Monte Carlo Masters.

Majchrzak salvaged two strong wins against Americans Ethan Quinn and Brandon Nakashima to keep his campaign going in China. Majchrzak downed Quinn 6-3, 6-4 and Nakashima 6-4, 6-0 to arrange his second career head-to-head with De Minaur. The Australian defeated Majchrzak in their first encounter almost four years ago at the 2022 Australian Open via a score of 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.
