This weekend, the new Serie A season begins, and on Sunday, one of Italy's biggest clubs will be in action. Juventus take on Parma at Allianz Stadium in Turin, where Igor Tudor's men will be hoping to get the campaign off to a strong start. Known as a team that often dominates this division, things did not go to plan for the club known as the Old Lady last time around, with the men in those iconic black and white striped jerseys finishing in a disappointing fourth spot. A late flourish of wins was not enough to make up for a slow start, so this time around, they'll want to come flying out of the gates so to speak.
For the visitors, it was a different story, a story of success, with Parma beating relegation in their first season back in the top league of Italian soccer. It wasn't easy, and it was a mixed season overall, with some big results against big teams tainted by some frustrating efforts against lesser opposition, but in the end, the men from Stadio Ennio Tardini got over the line with a little bit to spare, finishing 16th. Under new manager Carlos Cuesta, they'll be looking to build on that season, and who knows, maybe they'll cause an opening-weekend upset.
