Josiah Harrell (11-1-0) and Elves Brener (16-6-0) will clash in the UFC Lightweight division on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. Harrell stepped into the Octagon for the first time in February this year, losing to Jacobe Smith via a Round 1 KO punch. The 27-year-old American will be keen to bounce back from this defeat, which came on short notice. The “Muscle Hamster” will be the -140 betting favorite on Saturday night.
Elves Brener, on the other side of the Octagon, joined the UFC in February 2023, going on a three-fight winning run. However, he has since lost three straight fights, the latest being a decision loss against Esteban Ribovics in August last year. But in an interview with Ag. Fight, the Brazilian said that he has used the lengthy layoff to improve his game and stay healthy. He will be the +100 betting underdog this weekend.

Our Josiah Harrell vs Elves Brener Prediction
Our money is on Josiah Harrel to win and get his UFC journey back on track. The American’s UFC debut came on very short notice, and he’ll want to prove his critics wrong. We also think that he’ll be carrying new freedom to perform after tasting his first professional loss. Harrell is an aggressive fighter who has already racked up 10 finishes in his professional career. However, we expect him to take a cautious approach and avoid chaotic exchanges with Elves. The Brazilian can unleash a KO punch if he gets any openings, as he did against Kutateladze and Kruschewsky. This will be a close matchup, with Harrell getting a decision win.
Our prediction for Josiah Harrell vs Elves Brener: Josiah Harrell to win.
