The UFC will head to Miami, Florida, this weekend with Jiri Prochazka (32-5-1) and Carlos Ulberg (14-1-0) clashing for the vacant Light Heavyweight title. Jiri Prochazka is a former champion in the division, having won the title in 2022 against Glover Teixeira. However, he failed to defend the title against Alex Pereira before getting another title shot at UFC 303, which he lost via a KO kick. Since then, the 33-year-old has won his last two assignments.
Carlos Ulberg, on the other side of the Octagon, has lost only once since joining the franchise in November 2020. That defeat was against Kennedy Nzechukwu, who floored him in the second round via a KO punch. The “Black Jag” has since bounced back to win his last nine assignments, including a KO win over Dominick Reyes in September last year. He’ll be keen to be crowned champion in his first title shot.

Our Jiri Prochazka vs Carlos Ulberg Prediction
Jiri Prochazka is the slight -122 betting favorite in what bookmakers expect to be a close contest. He’s fun to watch and can be very unpredictable inside the Octagon. Jiri is a dangerous striker who averages 5.69 significant strikes per minute with a 55% success rate. However, Ulberg outplays him in this regard, averaging 6.54 significant strikes per minute with a 55% success rate. The 35-year-old from New Zealand is a world-class kickboxer with incredible footwork. However, his only way to win this bout is to stay mobile, as Jiri will likely close the distance and try to finish him off early. Overall, Jiri’s high finishing ability should see him get another KO win.
