However, she's not operating at the level of Pegula, who won in straight sets when the pair faced off in Cincinnati just last month. On that evidence, the world number three looks a decent bet to get this done without requiring a third set.

Having won that match in straight sets, Pegula, who defeated Navarro without dropping a set back in August, looks nicely placed to reach the semis off the back of another straight-set victory.
