The grass-court action continues on Thursday, when some of the best WTA players will be getting down to business in Bad Homburg, Germany. The match i'm particularly interested in, at least from a betting point of view, is an all American affair between Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro. This is not just a match between two US competitors, it's also a match between two top-10 players.
Now ranked 10th in the WTA Rankings, Emma Navarro has enjoyed a decent 2025, winning an event in Mexico, also reaching the quarters at the Australian Open, but she's since lost her way a little, struggling for consistency, while she's not been at her best against top players on grass so far. It hasn't exactly been a vintage season for Pegula, whose best ever form came at the French Open back in 2022, when she reached the final, but she did reach the quarters at Wimbledon last season, showing some solid grass-court form, while she comes into this match off the back of a decisive win last time out and thus should feel confident.
