Krejcikova is playing fantastic tennis in the Grand Slam stage after injuries and inconsistencies derailed her campaign in the first three major events in 2025. Krejcikova kicked off her campaign in Flushing Meadows with a convincing win over Canadian Open champion Victoria Mboko 6-3 6-2 and followed it up with another straight-set victory over Mayoka Uchijima 6-4 6-2. The last two rounds of the tournament tested Krejcikova’s mettle and mental fortitude. Krejcikova hacked out a comeback win over Emma Navarro 4-6 6-4 6-4 before coming through with a gutsy 1-6 7-6(13) 6-3 victory over Taylor Townsend.
