Carlos Alcaraz of Spain will try to secure his place in the fourth round of the Wimbledon Open as he battles Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany on Friday.
Alcaraz pushed his winning streak to 20 matches after obliterating Oliver Tarvet of Great Britain 6-1 6-4 6-4. After overcoming a serious upset scare from Fabio Fognini in the first-round, Alcaraz was all business right from the opening game as he pummeled Tarvet with 43 first-serve points and 6 breakpoint conversions. Alcaraz improved his grass-court record to 31-3 and 7-0 in 2025.
Struff moved on to the next round with a 3-6 7-6(9) 6-3 6-4 win over Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada. Struff bounced back from an error-riddled first set by playing with more precision in the next three sets. The German collected 50 points off the first serves and broke Auger-Aliassime 5 times to seal the win.
