Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction & Picks - NFL

The Texans will try to take a step closer to .500 when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars at  NRG Stadium in Houston, TX.  Kickoff for this AFC South battle is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST. Fans can follow the action once the game starts on CBS.

It has been a rough year for the Texans, who enter the game with a 3-5 record. The defense has been stellar; one of the best in the NFL. But after making a poor offensive line worse by trading away Laremy Tunsil, run lanes have been hard to come by, and C.J. Stroud spends most of the game running for his life. But after going down with a concussion last week, the Texans will be forced to give Davis Mills the start. Mills was the starter for most of two seasons before losing the job to C.J. Stroud. His play was not encouraging in the second half last week as the offense gained just 87 yards. As for Jacksonville, the Jags are not too far behind the 7-2 Colts at 5-3. They are coming off a win over the Raiders in Las Vegas last week, a 30-29 nail-biter, but had lost their previous two.
