The Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2 SU, 1-1 ATS) visit the Buffalo Bills (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) in a rare early evening Monday night game. The Jaguars find themselves in a rough spot, as they’ve essentially given away their first two games of the season. Jacksonville played one good half against both Miami and Cleveland, but the Jaguars couldn’t put a full game together in either situation.
Buffalo initially looked concerning in surviving Arizona in the first week, but the Cardinals appear like they might be better than people expected. The Bills then slaughtered the Dolphins, and they now appear to be the class of the AFC East. The Bills’ biggest obstacle remains Kansas City, but for the time being, Buffalo at least appears to be the AFC’s No. 2 team.

The Jaguars have actually been a bit of a pain for the Bills over the past 10 years, as Jacksonville has gone 4-2 in the past six meetings. These teams also tend to play fairly close games, all seven of their meetings over the past 11 years were decided by seven points or less.
The biggest question here is what version of Jacksonville decides to show up. The Jaguars still have yet to put together more than 30 minutes of decent football, and they’re going to need to show a lot more than what they have if they plan on besting Buffalo. Neither the Jaguars’ passing attack nor the pass defense has been up to par this season, but the talent is definitely still there. Given that Buffalo is likely to be consistent and Jacksonville tends to raise its play against the Bills, our prediction for Jacksonville vs. Buffalo is Jaguars +5.5.
