Jingshan Open champion Lulu Sun of New Zealand will test No.1 seed and American rising star Iva Jovic in the first round of the 2025 Suzhou WTA 125 on Tuesday.
Fresh off a WTA 125 title, Sun is a +125 underdog on DraftKings against the 17-year-old Jovic.

Sun rattled off five consecutive wins to win the Jingshan Open title, a WTA 125K event. Sun toppled the only WTA top-100 player in the tournament, Alexandra Eala, 3-6 6-4 6-2 before she blew past Yexin Ma in the finals, 6-4 6-2. With the victory, Sun improved her hard-court record in 2025 to 17-13.
Jovic pushed Eva Lys of Germany to the limit 6-3 4-6 7-5 in the second round of the 2025 China Open. The teenager fired four aces and captured seven breakpoint conversions, but her effort would not be enough to overcome Lys. Jovic had delivered a title run at WTA Guadalajara Open, clinching her first WTA 250 crown against Emiliana Arango of Colombia 6-4. 6-1.
