On Saturday, March 14, 2026, Ireland will host Scotland at Aviva Stadium in Dublin for the final round of the Six Nations. The hosts, led by Andy Farrell, defeated a tough Wales side in their previous match, while Gregor Townsend’s Scottish team secured an impressive victory against France at Murrayfield. If Scotland wants to win the title, it must win in Dublin and hope that England either wins away against France or fails to secure the bonus point.

Although this is undoubtedly shaping up to be a thrilling and hard-fought match that could decide the 2026 title, it’s fair to say that winning in Dublin could be a very tough task for Scotland. Considering how they were viewed before the tournament, Townsend’s men have done an excellent job of positioning themselves to compete for the title with 80 minutes remaining in the tournament, but it’s hard to ignore their poor record at Aviva Stadium.
