The No. 13 Ohio State Buckeyes (24-5, 13-5) will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes (22-9, 10-8) in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET, with coverage available on the Big Ten Network.

They got out to a fast start against the Badgers, getting ahead 25-9 in the first quarter. Against the Spartans, they used 24 turnovers to help beat Michigan State and earn a date with Ohio State in the quarterfinals. When Iowa played the Buckeyes in the regular season, they needed a 30-23 fourth quarter to force OT, only to lose 86-78 in the end. But Ohio State lost its last regular season game, falling to Maryland 93-90 in OT.

I want to lean towards taking the Iowa ML for this one because the Hawkeyes have been playing better overall basketball down the stretch than Ohio State. Statistically, the Buckeyes have an edge, but there is something to be said for continuity. Not playing until the quarterfinals could cost them if they come out cold against a hot Iowa team. This will probably be a pretty close game, one that could go either way. That is why I’m going with the TOTAL instead of picking a winner.
