The Indianapolis Colts (2-2 SU, 3-1 ATS) head to Florida to face the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4 SU, 2-2 ATS) in a game that serves as a last chance for Jacksonville to save its season. The Jaguars also defend one of the strangest streaks in the NFL, as the Colts have not won a road game against the Jaguars since 2014. Indianapolis has usually brought the better team to northern Florida, but whenever the Colts arrive in Duval County, they bring their worst football to the show.
Jacksonville has managed to stay in games, but done a great job of losing them. The Jaguars should be 2-2, but botched the opener with Miami and managed to blow a late lead to Houston. And that has the Jaguars essentially on life support and in need of a win in the worst way. Beating the Colts at home again would ensure Jacksonville still has hope in the AFC South. Another loss means they’re playing for 2025.

It’s been almost scary to see Trevor Lawrence’s regression since the middle of last season. Jacksonvlille appeared to be in prime position for long-term battles with Houston for AFC South supremacy for the next several years, but Lawrence is not the same player and the Jaguars have backslid. Over their past eight games, only against a truly hopeless Carolina have the Jaguars managed to top 20 points.
For Indianapolis’ part, the Colts really want to put an end to this streak. They’ve been hearing about Jacksonville and their issues with winning there for nine years now, and they need this game to put pressure on the Texans. Houston has looked good but vulnerable, and the division is there to be won if the Colts can take advantage. But given that the wins have been catching the Steelers napping and edging past Chicago, this appears to be more of the same. Our prediction for Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville is Jaguars -3.5.
