A rematch of this year’s Eastern Conference finals, the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks look to rekindle their rivalry on the Summer League stage on Thursday at Thomas & Mack Center.
The race for the Summer League playoffs is heating up. Given the compact nature of this tournament, every win matters for all the teams competing in Vegas. The Knicks earned their first win in three matches, edging their intra-state rivals, the Brooklyn Nets, 97-93, on Tuesday. Tyler Kolek dazzled again, recording 25 points on 7 for 17 shooting with four assists and four steals. MarJon Beauchamp also finished with 25 points, while MarJon Beauchamp added 12 off the bench.
After edging the Cavaliers 116-115 in their first game, the Pacers have dropped their last two games against the Oklahoma City Thunder 85-104 and the Chicago Bulls 105-114. Similar with the Knicks, Indiana also sports a 1-2 card with a few games left on their schedule. Enrique Freeman, the 50th overall pick at the 2024 NBA Draft, has delivered strong numbers in three games with the Pacers. Freeman recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds in the win vs. the Cavs, 15 points and 11 boards in the loss versus the Thunder and 15 points and 10 rebounds against the Bulls.
