The Knicks host the Pacers at Madison Square Garden for the NBA regular season. This summer, the Knicks were very active in the off-season, with the arrival of Mikal Bridges, followed by the surprise acquisition of Karl-Anthony Towns, who caused quite a stir. Last season, New York exceeded expectations by finishing 2nd in the Eastern Conference during the regular season. However, their playoff run was halted in the 2nd round due to a series of injuries that plagued the squad. With such an impressive roster, the team led by Jalen Brunson is now a serious title contender.
The Pacers have just completed a remarkable season, finishing 6th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 47 wins and 35 losses. Coached by the experienced Rick Carlisle, the team even managed to reach the conference finals. A surprising playoff performance given the low expectations placed on them at the start of the season. Nevertheless, Tyrese Haliburton's team-mates had already sent out a strong signal by reaching the NBA Cup final earlier in the year. Now, the Pacers are positioning themselves as serious playoff contenders in the East.
