Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers will open their regular season campaign on Wednesday with a thrilling matchup at the Little Caesars Arena. The Pistons will be eager for the former No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham to prove his critics wrong and finally show his true potential. However, Detroit has been struggling collectively. They finished last season with an NBA record of 28 losses. The Pacers, on the other hand, will look to build on their solid 2023-24 season that saw them win a playoff series for the first time in a decade. They defeated Milwaukee Bucks in a stretchy six-game series before outsmarting the Knicks in the Eastern Conference semis. Many called it a fluke, which is why they’ll be motivated to do it again this season.
