Maryland will try to be the one that derails the Indiana train when the Hoosiers come to town Saturday for a game at SECU Stadium in College Park, MD. Kickoff for this Big Ten battle is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on CBS.

Of course, stopping IU is easier said than done. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza is having an incredible season with almost 2000 yards passing in eight games with 24 touchdowns and only three picks. The Hoosiers are averaging 45 points per game (third best in the country) while allowing only ten points per game (also third best in the country). There isn’t an apparent weakness for Indiana on either side of the ball. The only negative thing that can be said about them would be in reference to their schedule; they have wins against two ranked teams (both top ten at the time), and they will not face another one until the Big Ten title game (likely Ohio State). As for Maryland, the season got off to a promising 4-0 start for the Terps, but they have lost their last three conference games, all by four points or less. They led in the fourth quarter of all three conference losses, but were outscored by Washington 21-0, by Nebraska 10-0, and by UCLA 13-7.
