Iga Swiatek vs Elena Rybakina Prediction & Picks - WTA Cincinnati Open

Meeting for the second time in just over a week, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina will battle it out for a place in the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Open on Thursday evening. Now ranked as the fifth best player in the world, Swiatek is hoping to move one step closer to defending the title that she won in 2025, while Rybakina, now the world number two, is hopign to avenge the defeat that she suffered at the hands of Swiatek last week. Given how strong she is in general, and how strong she's loooked in Cincinnati, she may just do that. 

Naturally, as we're talking about a match between two players that have won many Grand Slams between them, two players currently ranked inside the top five, this is far from easy to call. However, based on what we've seen from the pair in recent times, especially on hard courts, Elena Rybakina looks a little generously priced. The world number two is one of the few players in the world who has regularly tested Iga Swiatek, with her beating the Polish superstar twice since late 2025. Both of those wins came on hard surfaces. Given that Swiatek has not been at her consistent best in 2026, the Kazakh player looks a value bet to get the job done here.
