The top team in the AFC South will look to stay there this Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts (8-3) are that team and will be taking on the Houston Texans (6-5) in a divisional matchup. This will be the 1st of two meetings between the foes this season.
The Colts are coming off a rough 23-20 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week. The loss was their 2nd in the last 3 games and may be showing some cracks in a team that many were touting as the favorites to win the AFC just a few short weeks ago. Jonathan Taylor was held to just 58 rushing yards in the loss, while no receiver surpassed 50 yards receiving. The defense allowed nearly 500 total yards, and while they held tight in the red zone, it was not enough to get the win.
Houston has won 3 games in a row after defeating the Bills last week. Davis Mills has been tremendous in replacing the injured CJ Stroud. He has thrown 5 touchdowns and just 1 interception over that 3-game winning streak. However, the defense was key in the last win as they held Josh Allen to just under 200 yards passing and picked him off twice.
If the Houston defense can replicate the efforts from last week, they could push this Colts team to the limit here on the road.
