Holger Rune of Denmark will attempt to tame the giant-killing Valentin Vacherot of Manaco in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Shanghai Masters.

Ranked 204th in the world, Vacherot toppled several prominent players on the tour to reach where he is at now. He defeated Alexander Bublik 3-6, 6-3. 6-4 in the second round, Tomas Machac 6-0, 3-1 and Tallon Griekspoor 6-4, 6-7, 4-6 in the round of 16.
