We have one of the quirkiest matchups on the main card taking place in this fight. A Bantamweight bout between veteran Henry Cejudo (16-5-0), the former double champ and Olympic wrestler, will face an up-and-comer in Payton Talbott (10-1-0).
Cejudo has been 0-3 since coming out of retirement and has not looked anything like he once did when he was ruling the division. He came out of retirement to face the champion, Aljamin Sterling, and lost via split decision. He then lost by unanimous decision against Merab and, most recently, the same way against Yadong. This could be a crossroads fight for Cejudo, and if he is able to get the win, he could be on his way to another top-ranked bout, but if he loses, his career could be at the finish line.
Talbott had a great start to his career by winning all 5 pro fights via KO/TKO. He then got a unanimous decision win in DWCS and got a UFC contract. He then continued his dominance by finishing his 1st three opponents in the UFC. He ran into a tough decision loss to Raoni Barcelos back in January, but bounced back with a win over Felipe Lima in his last fight in June.
This is going to be a fight of contrasting styles. Cejudo will be wise to try and score takedowns and try to grind this fight out, while Talbott will likely be looking to connect with this striking on the fight and put Cejudo back into retirement.

This fight is so tricky to figure out. If Cejudo were in his prime, we think the oddsmakers would have this fight completely flipped. They have Talbott as a decent favorite. His youth and almost 6-inch reach advantage are advantages here, but he has never faced anyone with the wrestling background that Cejudo brings to the table. This one is too hard for us to pick a winner, but we do believe it will come down to a decision. Cejudo has only been finished once in his career, and that was against arguably the greatest flyweight of all time, Demetrious Johnson. Talbott has yet to be finished in his short career. We believe the judges will come into play in this one.
