The Gonzaga Bulldogs (22-8, 13-4) will try to end the regular season with a win when they face the San Francisco Dons (23-7, 13-4) at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA. Tipoff for this West Coast Conference matchup is scheduled for 11 p.m. ET with coverage via ESPN and ESPN+.
Most teams would consider a 22-win season a rousing success, but it will set a new low for the Bulldogs under Mark Few (he took over for Dan Monson in 1999-2000). The Bulldogs are still projected to make the Tournament. But a win or two down the stretch could improve their seeding. While it has been a down year for them, the Bulldogs beat the Dons 88-77 when they played at the McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane a few weeks ago (Feb. 13). San Francisco played them to a tie, 38-38, at the break but the Bulldogs poured it in on in the second to secure their 54th win over the Dons. As for San Francisco, the Dons have gone 3-0 since losing to Gonzaga, while the Bulldogs have gone 2-1 with a loss to Saint Mary’s last Saturday.
The winner of the game will secure the second-best regular season record in the conference.

This may be the best chance the Dons have had in years to bring the losing streak vs. Gonzaga to an end. They have been an incredible team at home this season, losing only to Memphis back in November. Technically, this game will be on a neutral court, but since it is still in San Francisco…it has been a down year for the Bulldogs; the regular season title is lost to them, so they may have already moved on mentally to the conference tournament. With a shot at finishing with a better record than the Bulldogs and ending the streak, San Francisco’s defense will lead the way to a win. It’s a long shot, of course, but there is value.
