Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes will get the 2025 season underway at home Friday night against the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Kickoff for this Big 12/ACC matchup is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST at Folsom Field in Boulder, CO, with the broadcast via ESPN.

Year 2 of the Sanders Era saw the Buffaloes take a huge leap forward, but making progress in Year 3 will not be easy, as the team has to replace several key contributors, among them are quarterback Shedeur Sanders and DB/WR Travis Hunter. However, according to reports, the team did well in rebuilding the offensive line and linebacker rooms via the transfer portal, and also found a talented new quarterback in Kaidon Salter. If the hype is to be believed, the offense may be even better than last year’s explosive unit. As for Georgia Tech, Haynes King is back as the Yellow Jackets' quarterback for a third season. He’ll have Jamal Haynes and Malik Rutherford back, and four of the offensive linemen. On the defensive side, the front seven will need to be rebuilt, but the secondary appears to be in good shape with Preston Hodge (CB), D.J. McKinney (CB), and Carter Stoutmire (S) back.
