The No. 7 LSU Tigers (25-2, 10-2) will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to No. 3 Texas in Austin when they host the Georgia Bulldogs (10-16, 2-10) tonight at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Tipoff for this SEC battle is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET; fans can find coverage via the SEC Network.
Historically, this has been a pretty competitive matchup, with both teams winning 27 games; LSU is 13-8 at home, and Georgia is 14-9 at home. However, recent seasons have seen the Tigers dominate the Bulldogs; with an 80-54 win over Georgia in Athens last season (Feb. 3, 2024), LSU has won six in a row over the Bulldogs. Georgia will certainly have a hard time ending the streak. The Bulldogs have not been competitive against ranked teams, losing by as few as 14 points and as many as 32. But covering a 29.5-point spread is no easy task. While I have no doubt that LSU will win, I can’t say with confidence that they’ll cover this massive spread or that they will not. It would not be shocking to see this game end with LSU scoring in the high 80s and Georgia chipping in just enough to go OVER the total.
