On Thursday evening, I'm also hugely interested in the UEFA Europa League game that will unfold at Cegeka Arena, where Genk and Basel will clash in a battle between Belgium and Switzerland. What we've seen from each of these two teams over the first four rounds of UEL games is a lack of offensive power, so I am a little surprised to see that 'Under 2.5 Goals' is priced at +130 in the early betting. Such odds look too generous and are worth taking as far as I'm concerned. After all, the hosts really are struggling to score goals at home, and not just on the continent, where they've twice failed to score in front of a home crowd this season.
The Genk boys failed to score at home to Betis last time out in this competition, while they also failed to find the net at home to Ferencvaros. At the other end, they've been sturdy, though, conceding just one goal in two home UEL games. Factor in that the visitors have scored just one goal on the road and a low-scoring game starts to look more likely than the early odds suggest.
