Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan targets another deep campaign in Gstaad as he squares off with Francisco Comesana of Argentina in the quarterfinals of the 2025 EFG Swiss Open.
Bublik stormed into the quarterfinal round of this ATP 250 clay-court event after decimating compatriot Alexander Shevchenko 6-2 6-3 in the second round. Bublik only connected 58 percent of his first serves but still managed to get most out of it, winning 24 points off the first serves while adding 11 more off the second. Comesana delivered another strong performance against Roberto Carballes Baena of Spain 6-1 6-4. Comesana, who routed Marco Trungelitti 6-3 6-4 in the first round, won a staggering 91 percent of his first serves and drilled 10 aces to hold 100 percent of his serves. Furthermore, the Argentine also seized three breakpoint conversions to hack out a straight-set win over the tough Spanish foe.
