The 22 year old Czech star has endured an injury plagued 2024 season, but has been in scintillating form this week, knocking out Mariano Navone and No. 4 seed Daniil Medvedev in straight sets to reach the last 16. He faces another tough test against Tiafoe, who has produced two excellent displays to best Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Lorenzo Musetti in his first two games. Overall, it has been a disappointing year for the US star, and he has yet to make it past the third round of any event.
