France will be overwhelming favorites to make it three wins from three in their World Cup qualification group when they host minnows in Paris on Friday night.
Didier Deschamps' side were not at their best in their opening two games of the campaign, but their superior overall quality saw them defeat Iceland and Ukraine in two hard fought contests. However, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise and Hugo Ekitike in prime form for their clubs, Deschamps will be confident of a much-improved display on Friday night.
Azerbaijan battled to a commendable 1-1 draw with Ukraine in their last qualifying game. That result was all the more surprising given the fact that Azerbaijan had lost their opening qualification game 5-0 in Iceland.
It has now been 12 games since Azerbaijan last picked up a victory and there is nothing to suggest they will end that terrible run of form on Friday night.
