Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada will slug it out with Jaume Munar of Spain in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Swiss Indoors Basel on Friday.
Fresh off a title in Brussels, Auger-Aliassime has established himself among the top contenders in this year’s tournament in Basel. The Canadian is a -300 favorite against Munar, who has just scored a top-10 win in the previous round.

Auger-Aliassime extended his winning streak to six matches after grinding out a tough straight-set win over former US Open champion Marin Cilic 7-6, 7-6. Auger-Aliassime drilled 28 aces and won 92 percent of his first serves to hold 100 percent of his serves. And while he failed to score a break against Cilic, the Canadian showed incredible composure in the two tiebreakers to hack out the close win.
Munar improved his slate to 5-1 in his last six matches after blasting Ben Shelton 6-3, 6-4 on Thursday. The Spaniard claimed a top-10 win by scoring 10 aces and winning 83 percent of his first serves. He also broke the American twice after winning 19 points on Shelton’s first serve. Munar, who reached the round of 16 at the 2025 Shanghai Masters, is 5-1 in indoor matches in 2025.

Fearless Forecast: Felix Auger-Aliassime is still a strong pick to win this match, but I really like Munar’s chance to cover +3.5 Games (-125) in their first-ever match outside the red clay. Munar is 2-1 head-to-head against the Canadian, but again, this will be the first time they will play each other on the hard court. Auger-Aliassime is a top-caliber indoor specialist who’s coming off a title in Brussels. I understand that it would take a lot for Munar to topple the Canadian in his current form, but I also recognize the Spaniard’s capability to give his opponent a run for his money on Friday. Munar is a solid 6-7 against the ATP top-20 this year.
