by Bradley Gibbs in ATP Wimbledon Championships Picks
The action at Wimbledon will be coming thick and fast early this week, with loads of matches taking place on Monday, including a battle between Canada and Australia, with Felix Auger-Aliassime taking on James Duckworth. It's been a promising 2025 for Auger-Aliassime, who won not one but two hard-court events, reaching the final of a third tournament on that surface too. He didn't exactly set the world alight on clay, though, while his grass-court form has so far been patchy. This year, the man who is now ranked inside the world's top 30 will be looking to improve on what is a very poor recent record at this slam, with him exiting at the first-round stage 2024, 2023 and 2022.
In general, James Duckworth, who is ranked outside of top 100, would be expected to struggle in this match, and he may do just that, though Wimbledon is probably a good place for face Auger-Aliassime, while the Aussie does have a history of battling well against higher-ranked players on grass.

Our Felix Auger Aliassime vs James Duckworth Prediction
This is absolutely the sort of match that you'd expect a player of Felix Auger-Aliassime's quality to win, there's no doubt about that, and the Canadian likely will confirm his early market dominance. However, he hasn't been averse to the odd slip-up on grass recently, winning only two of his last seven matches in straight sets, while his record at Wimbledon isn't overly encouraging either. Sure, we're talking about a disparity in quality, but it would be far from surprising if the Aussie got a little more competitive than the early odds suggested, making this a longer match than Auger-Aliassime probably wants. Our Felix Auger-Aliassime vs James Duckworth Pick: Over 3.5 Sets.
