Felix Auger-Aliassime will battle Andrey Rublev on Friday, looking to carry his newfound form into the final of the 2025 Hamburg Open.
After four consecutive clay-court losses, Auger-Aliassime has entered the semifinal of the 2025 Hamburg Open after racking up 3 consecutive wins, including a gritty 7-6(4) 6-7(6) 6-3 win over Quentin Halys in Thursday’s quarterfinals. The Canadian has also booted out Daniel Altmaier of Germany 6-3 6-3 and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 6-2 6-4 in the previous rounds.
Similar to Auger-Aliassime, Rublev has also regained his form in this tournament after falling short in previous clay-court tournaments. The Russian has defeated Damir Dzumhur 6-4 6-3, Justin Engel 6-3 7-5 and Luciano Darderi 6-1 3-6 6-3 to reach the final four for the first time since winning the Qatar Open in February.
