One of the Major League Soccer venues that will fill up with expectant supporters on Saturday evening will be Toyota Stadium, where FC Dallas and LAFC will lock horns in a battle between two Western Conference teams looking to make an appearance in the postseason, which at this point, isn't too far away. Right now, the visitors are well on course to feature in the playoffs. They sit in a pleasing fifth spot, only one point behind the Seattle Sounders, who currently occupy fourth. Steve Cherundolo's men also come into this game off the back of a pleasing away-day win last time out, so their tails are up.
For the hosts, there was no victory party last time out, but they did manage to extend their current unbeaten run to two games, while they've only lost one of their last five fixtures, which means that they will fancy themselves to break into the all-important top nine. At present, they're three points off where they need to be, which isn't ideal, but they are at least within striking distance.
