Frances Tiafoe of the United States will test Denmark’s rising star Elmer Moller on Monday in the first round of the 2025 Wimbledon Open at the All-England Club.
Tiafoe arrived at SW19 after a quarterfinal appearance at the 2025 French Open, though he only played one grass-court match and spent most of the week training. He played his lone grass-court match before the Wimbledon Open at the HSBC Championship at Queen’s Club, losing to Daniel Evans of Great Britain 5-7, 2-6 in the first round.
Despite being ranked 111th in the world, Moller received a spot in the main draw of the Wimbledon Open following the withdrawal of Casper Ruud due to injury. The 21-year-old Moller is one of the most talked-about youngsters on the ATP Tour because of his vast skill set and enormous potential. However, the 2025 season proves to be challenging for Moller, who hasn’t tasted a win since the qualifier of the French Open.
