The Edmonton Oilers (59-32-7 SU, 43-55 ATS) attempt to take control of their series with the Dallas Stars (62-26-11 SU, 44-55 ATS) after giving their best showing in Game 4. Edmonton could have easily folded down 2-0 in the first period, but the Oilers responded with five straight goals and now have a chance to take the lead in the series.
Desperation should rule the day for the Oilers, because the last thing they want is to get to a Game 7 against this Dallas team. The Stars have been the deeper squad top to bottom, but the Oilers won the last game because their stars took control of the game. When Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl get going, it's tough to stop the Oilers from finding the net.

The most shocking thing about Game 4 was how tentative Dalls played. The Stars had a chance to finish the job and bring the series back to Dallas with a 3-1 lead. Instead, Dallas didn't step on the throat and let Edmonton back into the series. And now the Oilers have reason to believe that they can win this series.
Eventually, someone is going to have to score a power play goal. The Oilers have the only special teams goal of the series, and it came shorthanded. But with Chris Tanev a question mark, Dallas might be down its best shot blocker. Having Tanev to get in the way of pucks gives the Stars protection for Jake Oettinger and lets Dallas dictate the flow of the game. If Edmonton has a clearer lane to the goal, it's hard to see Dallas holding the Oilers at bay. Our prediction for Edmonton vs. Dallas is for the Oilers to win.
