The East Carolina Pirates will take on the Tulane Green Wave at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, LA, on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 pm ET. Fans can catch the action once the game gets underway on ESPN.

At 3-2, East Carolina has already won more games than last year's squad (2-10), and they've already matched last year's conference win mark with a win over Army their last time out. From the games they've played, they look like a team who could compete for the conference title this year. They aren't the strongest running team in the country, but they do have top ten passing game (315 yards per game) and they are scoring 30.6 points per game. On the defensive end, they have a solid unit that is giving up just 304 yards per game (No. 25) and allowing 13.4 points per game (No. 13). But they will be facing a tough Tulane team on the road. The Green Wave got off to a strong start this year with three wins in a row: 23-3 vs. Northwestern, 33-31 vs., South Alabama, and 34-27 vs. Duke. But then they got knocked back down to Earth with a 45-10 loss at the hands of No. 13 Ole Miss.
