South Carolina will try to earn a spot in the Final Four for the fifth year in a row when the Gamecocks take on the Duke Blue Devils in the Elite Eight on Sunday, March 31. Tipoff for this battle between the SEC and ACC elites is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST with coverage on ABC.

Duke earned the right to move on after edging out North Carolina in the Sweet 16 in a game that featured dreadful shooting from both teams; North Carolina shot 28.3% and the Blue Devils 31%.  Duke fell behind 11-0 to start the game but recovered well enough to take a 28-20 lead into the break. Each team won a quarter in the second half, but the Blue Devils won the half 19-18 to secure the win. As for the Gamecocks, they got off to a slow start as well and were down at the half, 33-31.  But South Carolina controlled the second half, outscoring Maryland 40-34. The Gamecocks shot just 38.5% from the floor, won the rebound battle 47-34, but didn’t record a single steal. MiLaysia Fulwiley led the way for South Carolina with 23 points off the bench, followed by Chloe Kits with 15 points.
