Dominic Stricker of Switzerland will go up against Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France in the first round of the 2025 EFG Swiss Open Gstaad.
Stricker returns to the clay for the Gstaad Open after coming up one win short of advancing to the main draw of the Wimbledon Open. Stricker has compiled a 12-13 record on the ATP Tour this year, and 10 of those wins came on clay. Stricker boasts a 55 percent win rate on clay, which is second to his 60 percent win rate in indoor matches.
Pierre-Hugues Herbert also failed to qualify for the main draw of the 2025 Wimbledon Open, losing in his first qualifying match to Shintaro Mochizuki 6-1 6-1. Back on clay, where he holds a 120-115 record, PH Herbert hopes for something to build on as the ATP season shifts to the hard courts next week.
